FUE Hair Transplant

Androgenetic Alopecia is a disease that affects over 50% of men over the age of 40. It consists in the miniaturization of hair follicles as a result of the action of dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which in the body comes from the processes of testosterone transformation.

Currently, available pharmacotherapy allows for a significant slowing of baldness, but there is no drug that can reverse this process. The only way to deal with this problem is hair transplant.

Hair transplantation is a procedure performed under local anesthesia. Grafts (transplanted hair units) are taken from the occipital area, where the hair is the most durable and resistant to DHT, and then transplanted into the defect sites. At the site of the collection, the hair is slightly thinned, which becomes invisible two weeks after the procedure. At the site of implantation, as a result of the so-called "Trauma shock" hair will gradually enter the telogen phase ("sleep phase") to regrow after about 3 months, so we expect the final effect about 12 months after the treatment.
